The DNA Story:


LaCosta started her career in marketing, branding and communications. Yet, she always found extraordinary fulfillment when helping others accomplish their goals. In fact, without really knowing it she had been coaching staff and colleagues all along. After prompting from some colleagues, LaCosta studied and practiced Coaching as a profession.

Something was missing with many of those she coached: their ability to tell their stories, to spread their messages about their value in a way that manifested success. LaCosta realized that a hybrid of coaching and brand consulting would be ideal for many of her clients. Plus, as she longed for more strategic work, it satisfied some of her professional calling needs as well.

LaCosta always dreamed of living and working in CA. She says she knew that 1 – 3 years in New York City counts as 3 – 6 years anywhere else. So in 1999 she took a 3am bus for an interview and landed her first Manhattan job. LaCosta began at a start-up, ophthalmic surgery center and was later recruited to work at Deutsch Advertising (one of the top ad agencies in the country at that time)  in their direct marketing division. It took a few more years and several detours, but she finally managed a move to sunny San Diego, CA.

In organizations and small business, even forward moving success can sometimes include conflict or crisis – from slight to serious.  LaCosta realized that finding healthy ways ways to progress without being blind-sided by conflict has always been part of growth.  LaCosta knows how this can affect day-to-day existence from her many personal and professional experiences. She has always been dedicated to helping her clients wherever they are in the development process.

Knowing she needed to find much better ways to help her clients through the difficult times, as well as the progressive ones, LaCosta designed a more complete solution. It all stemmed from a robust, authentic and creative systems approach she calls the FullSync Method
tm. It is a new approach to capacity building and strength-based solutions for project, team, and organization development. Combining all the best parts of strategic planning, visioning, brand building, executive coaching, assessments and training, the method brings reflective approaches to help clients grow at sustainable, honest and smart levels. By syncing up all resources and people with visions, missions and goals, it yields the FullSync Fulfillment of healthy, productive organizations with great capacity to build.

In order to make this solution as powerful as possible, she enrolled in a Graduate Level Certificate program at Portland State – Interpersonal Neurobiology, to study how the brain and mind work together in relationships to problem-solve, nurture, heal trauma, and unlock potential to succeed. Leading edge professionals in many fields including, coaching, conflict resolution and organizational development are currently using Interpersonal Neurobiology. IPNB, as it is called, is comprised of more then 12 sciences including neuroscience, psychology, sociology, quantum physics and more.

In addition to this study, LaCosta trained and earned her certification as a Mediator in California. The facilitative style of mediation that LaCosta practices is very empowering and yields agreements and solutions that work for all parties involved. She uses this process and skill set when coaching clients in conflict resolution as well as in a formal mediation setting.

LaCosta believes that communities can become healthier and more sustainable as their leaders work on developing positive, respectful, civil, compassionate and creative approaches to achieving goals with their teams and organizations.
